L'armée américaine courtise les journalistes

Voici un extrait d'un email que quatre journalistes (dont la bbc) et moi avons reçu de la part de l'armée américaine en Irak :

Classification:  UNCLASSIFIED
Caveats: NONE

Hello again from the Garden Spot of Diyala province. Over the past eight
months, the Arrowhead brigade has put forth a concerted effort to
rebuild Iraqi infrastructure, assist the Iraqi Security Forces protect
the citizens of the province and during the past few months, we have
operated as one-third of the Tripartite Force in the northern region of
Diyala.

If you're interested, Col. Dave Funk, commander of 3-2 SBCT, and/or our
battalion commanders would like to offer their perspectives on the
planning efforts, operations and progress in Diyala province, before we
depart in a couple months. If you are available to travel and spend a
couple days here, in north-east Iraq- you're more than welcome.

Right now, we have one of our infantry battalions packing up their
equipment and closing down their FOB to hand over to the Government of
Iraq later this month.

Our cavalry squadron is currently working with both Peshmerga and Iraqi
Soldiers; manning Tripartite checkpoints, conducting veterinarian
medical operations, humanitarian drops and clearing operations.

We are in the process of coordinating our efforts to infuse small
businesses in the suqs located in both Khalis and Jalula.

If you would like more information about anything or to speak with any
of our commanders responsible for areas such as Baqubah, Muqdadiyah,
Khalis or Khanaqin and Jalula- or want their perspective on the Iraqi
security apparatus, sectarian tensions, civil-capacity building or
another story line- please just shoot me an email and I'll help
facilitate in any way possible.

Thanks!
